The HEXAN range test sets are three-phase current and voltage generators controlled manually or by PC with a USB connection. These devices benefit from new DSP technologies and are equipped with direct output amplifiers. HEXAN is particularly suitable for testing electrical protection relays from the simplest to the most complex, as well as for checking meters and converters.

HEXAN is available in two versions:

⇒ HEXAN type II in aluminum casing with crutch handle which favors space and weight.
Fashions
You can control the HEXAN in two modes:
⇒ MANUAL, by MCM (integrated or separate), display and manual adjustment of the different electrical quantities (simple, compound voltages, intensities, phases, frequency, etc.) which determine the healthy network and the faulty network. A drop-down menu gives access to the tests: Shunt, recloser, GTE 2666, neutral movement.
⇒ CONTROL by PC or tablet , with control software under Windows® Manusof t, offers the user controls by virtual potentiometers with the addition of advanced injection tools, visualization of the Fresnel diagram and symmetrical components.

Portable and robust system
The HEXAN-C takes advantage of the latest component and power integration technologies to offer you a complete three-phase test system in a small footprint. The experience acquired on the HEXAN allows us to integrate a command module available on the front panel. Software control remains possible for complex tests or those requiring more automation. The HEXAN-C is particularly suitable for testing electrical protection relays, as well as for checking meters and converters.
The integrated interface displays and allows you to very easily adjust the three voltages, the three currents, the frequency and the phase shift of the electrical networks generated by the HEXAN. A drop-down menu gives you access to tests of reclosers, decoupling protection, neutral point movement, etc. You have the dual-network function to instantly switch from a healthy network to a faulty network.
Software control on PC is carried out by applications from the HEXAN range. Control is carried out by RS232 or USB available on the front panel. The Manusoft software delivered as standard offers the user controls via virtual potentiometers with, in addition, advanced injection tools, visualization of the Fresnel diagram and symmetrical components. The software is compatible with Windows® XP/2000/VISTA/7, 8 and 10 v 32&64 bits.

Manual interface
The control interface now eliminates the need for a PC when using digital cases from the HEXAN-C range. The interface is designed to meet the requirements of users of traditional test cases. Its ease of use, its speed of implementation and its multiple pre-programmed functions give the HEXAN an additional advantage for the systematic testing of protection relays.
Main functions of injection control:
Manusoft software functions that simplify testing of protective relays are programmed into the integrated manual control.
Each quantity is controlled by 2 keys: increment and decrement.
Frequency adjustment from 40 to 70 Hz on voltages and currents,
Digital chronometer and injection control part:
Large graphic display on backlit LCD screen giving an overview of injection parameters.
Stopwatch resolution: 1ms

Manusoft Software
MANUSOFT is aimed at all users, because it allows you to test protection relays from the simplest to the most complex with unrivaled user-friendliness. It only takes a few minutes to get started. It is an easy-to-use manual interface that allows you to quickly test your protections. You access all possible settings with just a few mouse movements and a few “clicks”.
The different electrical quantities are controlled either from virtual potentiometers, or using the mouse by moving the vectors in the FRESNEL diagram or by entering the values on the keyboard. Numerous tools help the user to carry out the tests: Visualization and calculation of symmetrical components, 2 or 4-channel stopwatch with display of times and chronograms, display of inter-channel times, balanced networks and tools for creating two-phase and zero-sequence faults , 8 memories for storing faults to be produced.
The tests carried out can be saved in the form of files, allowing the provision of test reports.
